Stick to my front page is not working! aaahhh
-
I have been trying to stick my post to the front page and I check the “stick post to front page” option then update and publish but when I publish it the post is not on the front page and the words “sticky” vanish. What is the deal?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
The deal is we need the URL beginning with http before anyone will think about helping you.

Yes. There are 2 other users that have an account in to this blog and they have no problems posting

You can try the cookie dance – log out of WordPress.com and clear your browser cache and cookies – that seems to fix many strange problems.

The “sticky” post funtion is one that’s meant to be applied to a single post and when your crerate multplee sticky posts you will have editing probelems. Edit the older posts with the “sticky” and reamove it and then try your newer one.If that doesn’t work then you say there are 2 other users of the blog, which role have you been assigned on this blog? Please see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
Other troubleshooting:
What is your operating system?
Have you had any recent updates to it?
Have you had any recent updates to securuity programs and or firewalls?
Which browser and version of it have you used?
Have you tried logging out and force clearing your browser cache & cookies before logging in again like auxclass suggested? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ -
See here please:
You can mark a post as sticky by checking the option that says “Stick this post to the front page” in the Publish settings on any post.

First off, I won’t even attempt to visit your site on my limited bandwidth wireless internet. You are eating too much of my bandwidth. with over 50 posts showing on the main page.
A quick glance though looks like you are making EVERY post a sticky post. You don’t want to do that. Sticky posts are for one, maybe two posts, not the entire blog. All posts will show up on the front page anyway, there is no reason to sticky all of them.

@TSP
We are in agreement. :)@razor470
Go here and reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page of the blog to a reasonable number depending on length of the post to under 7 posts. > Settings > ReadingThen do a bulk edit and remove the “sticky” from all posts except the latest post and your problem will disappear. See here for instructions > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
