Sticky appeasrs as post
-
I am new to the “Sticky Post” idea. I tried it out yesterday, and it worked, but today I prepared a post to be published as a sticky and it kept showing as today’s post all aone on the “Home Page”. I tried several tiemes, and the same happened.
Since the sticky is just a photo with its references it won’t do as a post.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. You don’t appear to have any sticky posts at the moment. To change an existing post to “sticky”, go to Posts > Posts > (name of post) > Edit > Publish > Visibility > Public > Stick this post to the front page > Update.
This will make the post go slightly gray (as per this article) and stick on the top:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/03/28/stickies-and-their-appearance/I heard of a case where regardless of the number of posts per page on the Reading Settings, all sticky posts remained on the front. So even if you have set 1 post per page, and you have 2 sticky posts, your first page should contain 2 or even 3 posts.
Hope this helps :-)

Airodyssey:
I know how to put in a sticky, as I put in two yesterday, one in that “Fishing” blog that you probably saw and the other in another blog I have which is largely in Spanish, and my Spanish is no good.
My “Reading Setting” is one per page, but as “panaghiotisadam” says, that doesn’t matter and certainly didn’t matter yesterday.

@cantueso: I was just trying to help. If the solutions did not work, then either wait for another volunteer to come up with a better idea or contact staff directly. They have access to logs and other indicators that may give a clue as to what happened.

But your answer was very helpful!
Since what you told me to do was exactly what I had done, I concluded that it must be a bug of the kind that comes and goes. I’ll simply try again another day.

Yes. Thanks a lot!
The sticky post did not show up as a sticky simply because I did not “update” the post after marking the option as explained above by “airodyssey”.
