Sticky Header Problems

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on fixing our website’s header for the past week. The header settings are correctly configured to be fixed at the top across all device views (desktop, tablet, and phone). However, the header still moves when scrolling down the page.

Here’s the issue: out of 23 published pages, about 8 display the header correctly as sticky at the top, but the remaining 15 do not. Additionally, on some pages, background images sometimes disappear, causing the entire layout to break. I’ve had to repeatedly revert those pages to older versions to fix this. It’s very frustrating, especially since some pages break even without any changes being made.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? We’re using the Twenty Twenty-One theme, everything is up to date, including the latest PHP version, and we haven’t applied any new updates recently.

I’d really appreciate any insights or suggestions. Thanks so much!

As you are talking about the lastest php version, I presume your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. So you better head over to https://wordpress.org/themes/twentytwentyone/

    Hello Staartmees,

    Thank you for your reply.

I’ve checked the TwentyTwentyOne theme, which requires PHP version 5.6. Since we’re currently using PHP 7.4, I don’t see any reason why it should be incompatible. However, I’m still unsure why some pages display the header correctly while others do not – is this normal?

PHP 7.4 is long time outdated and no longer supported for about 3 years – https://php.watch/versions. Running PHP 7.4 puts your website at risk of data breaches, performance issues, and compatibility problems. Current PHP version is 8.3
