Sticky notes not displaying on the Writr. Theme

    Hi,

I want to update the Writr. theme to promote on the Home (tab) page – static page, 3 or 4 sticky notes. After individually updating each post, unfortunately I can’t see them on my Homepage.

    Can you please help?
    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Sticky posts are posts that are displayed at the top of a blog, before any others. Since your front page is set to display a static page instead of blog posts, that’s why you don’t see them there.

Your sticky posts are showing at the top of the Blog, as expected:

    Blog

Just let me know if you need further help.

    Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately this is not the case. By definition these sticky posts should display on my front page which I selected to be Home tab. The idea is to highlight top 3, 4 post on my main page (homepage – Home tab) while Blog page displays ALL my entries (posts). I think thia should be the logic here, right?

  • That isn’t how WordPress works. :-) Sticky posts are not displayed on pages – even if you’ve assigned that page to be the front page – only on the blog index.

If you want to try a workaround, you could use the Display Posts shortcode to add the desired posts to your static homepage.
