Hi there,
The sticky post feature only sticks posts to the top of the blog posts page, not the category pages. So, you’ll see the post in question is showing at the top of this page:
http://creativejohn.com.au/watercolours/
because that’s where you have your posts.
I’m afraid there is no way to make a post stick to the top of category pages.

Thanks Liz. That explains that. However, I am puzzled with what has happened to my watercolour page. It is meant to be a parent grid page, like the acrylics page. It is appearing like a category page with posts form my “found onspirations” category showing there??? I have unstuck the post that I was truing to have stay at the top of the Found Inspirations category, but the watercolour page is still kaput! Any ideas please?

I am puzzled with what has happened to my watercolour page. It is meant to be a parent grid page, like the acrylics page.
The problem is you’ve set the watercolour page as your “posts” page which is overriding the grid page formatting.
Do you want to have a page where all your posts (from all categories) appear? If so, I recommend you create a blank page called “Blog” or “Posts” or whatever makes sense to you. Then, from your Customizer, go to “Front” in the blue menu on the right and choose the newly created page in the dropdown menu under “Posts Page”
If you don’t want a page for all your posts, choose “–Select–” from the very top of the menu and your full posts page won’t appear anywhere.
Here’s a link to your customizer in case you are having trouble finding it.
Does that make sense? If you need more help let me know and we can break it down into smaller steps.
