Sticky Post

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to make a post a ‘sticky post’ – I have looked at tutorials and they say click ‘edit visibility’ – I have done this but it just comes up with ‘public’, ‘private’ and ‘password protected’ – no where does it say ‘make this post a sticky post’ or ‘stick this post to the front page’

    PLEASE HELP!

When you’re in the post editor, look in the sidebar above the preview/publish/update buttons. You should see “draft”, “draft saved”, or “published” (depending on the status of the post) with a little arrow next to it. Click that to reveal the sticky post option. Click the button next to “Stick to the front page” to toggle the feature on/off.

    Hi.

Actually, it’s a gear above the “preview” button, left of the “draft”, “draft saved” or “published” status.

Clicking that gear opens a drop-down menu that includes the “stick to front page” option. It’s turned off by default, so you need to turn it on.

The little arrow is above, left of the word “posts” and it’s to go back to the list of post.

@laprelooker – Thanks for the correction. At one point there was a “v” (what I called an arrow) in place of the current gear icon. I hadn’t noticed the change until you pointed it out.
