Sticky post disrupts front page layout in Tenaz theme
-

I have stickied a post about sea otters to the top of my blog in Tenaz theme. Instead of replacing the main story, it adds a main story and creates white space under the smaller stories. I don’t know if this is expected behavior. I like having two main stories. If I could add more stories to the block of smaller stories on the right, that would be a great solution.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you! I’ve been able to duplicate this on a test site: like you, I’d expected a single post regardless of whether it’s sticky; this seems to be showing the single latest post as well as all stickies.
But I’ve found an easy fix! For this one, edit your template, and click on that block that’s coming up with two posts instead of one. Use the List View to be sure you have that query loop selected, and make sure you’ve got your settings panel open.
Then scroll down to Sticky Posts. It’s set to include. Choose “Only” instead and you should be set!
Feel free to take a look at how the other query blocks on the page are set up. The one next to the “main story” excludes sticky posts. If you set “only” there, it will show the next few sticky posts. Or you can use “filter” to decide what you want to display.
Hoping that helps!

Yay! That worked. Progress! Thanks so much. I did notice that something has to be stickied or else nothing will show there. I went ahead and re-stickied the story.
