Sticky post in homepage?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a sticky post in the blog which comes at the top of the blog feed page. But at the home page comes as it is. No sign of sticky post. If my memory serves right, the sticky post used to come up at the top of the home page too. But it is at the bottom of the home page(being the first post I have typed ever). Is there any way, I can make the post sticky in home page?

Also, there is a separate page for blog posts named blog feed in the pages section. How does one access it, through our blog page? (As the sticky post appears in the top of that page only).

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

This is because your home page is using the Blog Posts block. That block only displays the most recent posts on a site, and does not respect the Sticky setting. Sticky posts only affect the post order of the actual posts page itself, which you have assigned to a different page, https://coldgun.home.blog/blog-feed/

There is no way to have sticky posts appear at the top using the Blog Posts block. If you want sticky posts on the homepage, you’ll need to assign the posts feed as your site’s front page instead of using a static page there.
