“sticky” post in K2
-
I really want to have a “sticky” first post for my blog. I’m using K2 as my template, which I love. But I can’t figure out a way to make my first post ALWAYS show at the top, as it needs to do. Any workarounds for this?

Thanks so much, TimeThief.
I tried another approach…
To add a static page, set that as a homepage, then create another page for posts, (named, appropriately, “Posts”).
The only problem with this is that WordPress is somehow automatically generating a “Blog” tab that I can’t see/manage in the backend interface. I would love to set one as parent to the other.
You can see what’s going on here:

I think you need to review the FAQ difference between a post and a page. That “Blog” page is the actual blog. It cannot be deleted. No page you create anywhere else in your blog will post the most recent posts on top and the others below the way the Blog page does. Pages are static, period.
By the way, setting a static page as your front page will slaughter your Googlejuice. Google cares about how often the front page is updated FAR more than it cares about any other places on a website.
