Sticky post in twenty eleven browser incompatability

I figured out that the large image won’t work in IE8 so made all sticky post images smaller. However now it seems it’s changed again, and the site looks different in IE8 / FF / Chrome / Safari – it works perfectly in every way in safari, but not in the others. it’s on a temp address. http://host.quksdns12.net/~lostattr//
i’ve trawled the net for answers but not found any. any ideas?
