sticky posting
-
I noticed recently my older posts are appearing under the sticky post on the first page instead of in individual posts as they have previously. The settings for each post have not changed — they are still set to “not” sticky and only the current post is set sticky. Anybody seen this before, or have suggestions what might be going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s because a thing called infinite scrolling has been added to the theme you’re using. See updates 6 and 7 here:

Thank your for your response. I didn’t see my theme iNove on your list, but what you’ve discribed is exactly what I’m seeing. I’m disappointed I wasn’t at least notified of this change by WP. This non-optional change makes the blog look less professional. I don’t see the value in trying to be like Facebook. This is a BLOG.
The lack of communication and transparency by WP certainly does not instill confidence.

WP would be happy if the change was “non-optional” but fortunately they cannot make it really so. My list doesn’t include iNove because iNove hadn’t been contaminated yet when I wrote those updates, but you can disable the thing the way I explain: go to Appearance > Themes and temporarily switch to, say, Bueno; go to Appearance > Widgets, open one of the footer areas and drag a widget to it; go to Settings > Reading, uncheck the option “Scroll Infinitely”, scroll down and click Save Changes; go to Appearance > Themes again and switch back to iNove.
