Sticky Posts and Featured Slider
-
I just recently switched blog themes. On my last one… I used the Ever After Theme. To get posts to be featured on the post slider, I just had to make them sticky. My new theme, the 2014 one, is displaying posts that have the tag “featured in them” on the post slider. I don’t want those posts to be featured because some of them are from a while ago. How do I set it up so only the posts I check “sticky” for show up on the post slider?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Each theme works a little differently, so there isn’t a way to make the Twenty Fourteen theme use sticky posts for its slider. Twenty Fourteen relies on a specific tag to make posts appear in the slider.
However, you can choose what tag you want to use — it doesn’t have the be the “featured” tag. To change the tag used for the slider, you can go to Appearance > Customize in your dashboard. Then, go to the Featured Content section. There, you can enter any tag you want to use, so posts with that tag will show up in the slider.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
