Sticky Posts exceed post limit

  I am having trouble with sticky posts … if I have one, it overrides the post count limit I set. I found the below website that addresses this, but I think it’s in HTML code? I really don’t know, but I just know that when I pasted it into the CSS box, after I hit Save 90% of the code was gone and the problem wasn’t fixed. Can anyone help decipher this? Thank you in advance!

  That require editing of the PHP script theme files, and we cannot do that at WordPress.com. The code you found is for self-hosted WordPress installations using the software from WordPress.org.
