Sticky posts for showcase slider not appearing until editing in admin pages

    I’ve noticed a weird bug. I’ve got my frontpage setup with the showcase slider.
    I add a new post using the little pencil icon top right, I add a featured image and set the post as sticky then select Publish. I see the post in my standard list of posts, but
    If I navigate to my main page I do not see the new post in the slider. If I then update ANY page in Site Admin/Pages then it seems to push the new post and I then see it in the frontpage slider.

    It’s like the original publish is not being noticed by something.

    Any ideas why this might be occurring?
