Sticky posts in Forever Theme not showing up

  Previously, I had four sticky posts rotating in the carousel at the top of the home page. They were getting outdated, so I wanted to change them. For whatever reason the new ones that I’ve marked sticky are not showing up. Here’s what I’ve done:
  1) Un-stuck all four of the old posts
  2) Chose four new posts and turned sticky on. All of the posts have featured images and the featured images are at least 888 pixels.

  Initially none of the new ones would show up, but the old four remained up regardless of the fact that ‘sticky’ was turned off on the old ones. Now, two of the new ones have mysteriously appeared in the carousel and the old four are gone. The problem is that I still have two more posts that are marked sticky but will not show up. Again, they have featured images and the images are at least 888 pixels wide. I’d like to keep my carousel updated, but this is really frustrating. What tips do you have to keep it more current and also to solve the problem?

  UPDATE: It did finally work- each sticky too about 30 minutes to update. Thank you
