sticky posts not working
-
Hello
the sticky posts are not working. I have to ‘re-post’ a post in order to bring it back to the top of the timeline. I know how to use the dashboard and make a post ‘stick’. It just is not working.
I have a featured post on Transatlantic Trade here
http://truroandfalmouth.com/category/ttip/
but I know then when I next post, it will move down the timelinePlease help, thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. I think the issue is that you have that post on a Category Page. Sticky posts only work on your blog’s main feed (the home page by default, unless you select a static page as home page as you have). None of your pages show the main feed but only show category pages, except for your home page which is static, and as such sticky posts won’t work on them.

Thanks for your prompt reply Kokkieh – really appreciate it. It is a real shame that sticky’s only work on blog’s main feed. Maybe WordPress could look at this in their next upgrade? dunno

If you want to make the suggestion, there’s an Ideas forum for that purpose. See here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas#postform

You should just edit the time/date of the post, actually. That’ll repost it to the top without changing the URL.
