STILL awaiting Refund
-
Good morning,
I have emailed a number of times, and I am waiting for a refund of £187.20, £84.80 and £38.40 respectively. It is from 2 seperate accounts on WordPress, but charged to the same Card on both accounts.
The first refund was issues on the 31 May 2023 (£187.20/£84.80) and the other the 4 June 2023 (£38.40)
We are now on the 11th July!
This is a lot of money to have just ‘Vanish’ into the ether.
You have no contact number, as a phone call would solve this issue, and your ‘happiness engineers’ do not reply.
Sort this out, and expedite the return of MY money. This is unacceptable.

Hello there,
I’m sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you’re having. For this account, I see refunds for your plans have been completed. You can view this in your billing history here:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billingHave you checked with your banking institution or card issuers about the refunds?

Hi, thanks for getting back in touch. I bank with the Royal Bank of Scotland, and everytime a suspicious/unprocessed refund or transaction gets anywhere near to my account, they let me know straight away.
This is a case of WordPress not actually fulfilling the refund. Granting the refund is one thing, but actually sending the Money is another.

Hi there,
When the refund is accepted by your financial institution, an Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) is created. We are not able to share that here in the forums for security reasons, but I have emailed you with this information. You can contact your bank and provide the ARN and it will allow them to find the transaction in their system so they can confirm it’s status.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
