still cannot upload images

Hello. Following up a note I sent you last Monday – I wonder if you’ve got to it yet, please? I cannot post images to my blog. I upload them to the media file but they won’t transfer. when I click ‘add to post’. The caption registers, but not the image. I also note that images from previous blogs have all disappeared, leaving just the captions. Please can you help me? I really do want to use the WordPress facility to the full, and I cannot. What do you think is the problem?

I can see images working at http://thecakesofbattle.wordpress.com/ so there may be something in your computer or browser settings or a filter in your software or network firewall that is blocking the images.
First, check to see if clearing the browser cache helps:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cacheIf you’re still having trouble after that, can you try an alternate web browser and let us know if the problem is happening in more than one browser on the same computer?

Thanks. I am accessing through Firefox. I’ve tried through Outlook and it’s fine: the images are there, perfect. As you suggested, I cleared the cache on Firefox and updated to a newer version. Alas, just accessed the blog through Firefox and still no images – just the captions. Puzzling. Perhaps I will have to accept that I run my blog through Outlook!

Are you sure that you mean Outlook, and not Internet Explorer? Outlook is an email client, not a web browser.
What version of Firefox are you trying?

That’s a rather old version of Firefox.
The current version is 7.0.1. Can you please try upgrading to that?
