Still can't access my wordpress webblog…

    I posted this a few months ago:

    Hello,
    I made this website a few years ago and haven’t updated it very often in the past few years. However, now, when I login, I can’t get access to my own website anymore to apply any changes. It says I don’t have any rights to access and the admin of the website should give grant me the rights, even though I should be the admin. Can you guys fix this?

    Okay, I can see my account was created in 2017, which is a bit absurd. because I made this website in 2011/2012. Can you please recover my website, so I can also renew the domain name?

    Hi identityisdynamic191017,

    As @supernovia mentioned, you will need to be logged into the correct WordPress.com account in order to manage identityisdynamic.com.

    Are you able to login using the email address your last purchase receipt for identityisdynamic.com was sent to?

    Just let me know and we can go from there.

    You are right, I was using the wrong emailadress to login, my bad. I can see the website is still there, it’s just the custom domain name (www.identityisdynamic.com) that has expired. I can no longer re-new it though and when I try to take it again, it says it is taken already (which I believe is not true, you don’t land on any website when you enter it into a webbrowser).
    What can I do now?

    Hi edwards87,

    Thanks for logging in. identityisdynamic.com expired on 27th October 2017 which is why you are unable to renew it through your account. The domain is currently in the redemption period:

    Domain Expiration

    At this stage we can still recover identityisdynamic.com if we act quickly. However, an $80 redemption fee will need to be paid in addition to the domain cost. If you agree, I can send a payment request for that amount and contact our registrar once it has been paid.

    If you don’t want to pay the fee you can wait until the domain is released, although the process can take 80 days or more. There is also no guarantee you will be the first to register it again.

    Please let me know which option you prefer and if you have any questions.

    Yes, I would like to redemp and renew the domain. Is it also possible to register it for longer time intervals, say 10 years or something?

    Hi edwards87,

    I’m afraid identityisdynamic.com went too far into redemption and has now been cancelled. This means we no longer have any control over the domain and are unable to recover it.

    If you would like to use the domain again, I recommend frequently checking to see whether it has been released and is available for purchase — either through WordPress.com or another domain provider.
