Still getting auto billed in error

    Can’t see purchases and was auto-billed $99 in error. Submitted a request for help and no reply yet. I have contacted my bank about this charge.

    Perhaps you have more than one username account. If so clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies before logging into it. Then check your Billing History page https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/

    This maybe helpful too Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. Also, if you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

    Your account has never owned any upgrades on WordPress.com, and we don’t even have payment information on file for your account.

    The site you listed in your post, swweldingandfab.com, belongs to a different account, southwestwelding, and that account owns a Premium Plan and domain.

    If that is also your account, please log in as that username and reply here, and we’ll be happy to help you cancel the plan and refund you for the recent renewal. However, we can only help the upgrade owner with this.

    Thank you both for replying. I am trying to figure out how I can access and manage the swweldingandfab.com site from my account but am not owner of it. I set up the account and am not sure how to get my credit info off an account where I can’t access the billing but can see the plan. The billing history for swweldingandfab is also blank.
    Please let me know how to log in as that username. When I try to login, it asks for an email address and I put my email address in, it doesn’t ask for a username.

  • You need to log in as the account, southwestwelding

    If you don’t remember the password for that account, follow these steps:

    Log out of this account and clear your browser cache and cookies. Then visit this link:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    Enter the username, southwestwelding.

    That will send a password reset email to the address we have on file for that account. If you have access to the email, you’ll be able to reset the password and log into the correct account using the link in that email.

    It does appear that you’ve also submitted a ticket to our billing department, and they’ve replied to you there. Please check your email for a reply from them, as they can also help you with account recovery if needed – aside from pointing you to the correct links I can’t help you with that in the forums, as everything posted here is public and we don’t want to expose any private information like credit card info or login details here.

    Is there a phone number for customer service? I can’t find one and feel this would more quickly resolved over the phone or with a chat with customer service.

    We don’t provide phone support but you can try either of @kokkieh’s suggestions:

    1. Reset the password for the account southwestwelding and log in
    2. Check for our recent reply to your email (including the spam folder)
