Still have figured it out….how to personalise the footer area
-
I’ve been trying for a while now to personalise the footer area but still cant do it.
I’d like to have something like a blog roll with highlighted links to other website just like the blogroll I have in the side bar.
When I try to add the blogroll widget to the footer area it copy’s the sidebar stuff and I want to give the ‘blogroll’ another name.
Any suggestion would be appreciated thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you read this sticky post https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/news-on-footer-credits?replies=3 at the top of the support forums?

Every theme has a detailed theme description page with set up instructions like this one https://wordpress.com/themes/twentyeleven/ and a live demo site like this one https://twentyelevendemo.wordpress.com/
You cannot compel any theme that does not have footer widget areas to accept footer widgets.

ok but I do have space for three footer areas with my theme.
I’d like to customise them though.
I had one person try to help me before but I could’nt do it.
I’m sure it can be done because I know of a blog with the same theme and they hay done it. -
Do you have an upgraded plan that provides the ability to edit CSS?
We wordpress.com bloggers do not have access to the template files underlying our themes on wordpress.COM hosted blogs and cannot edit them. This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme use the same underlying template found on the live demo site for each theme.
Does Customize let me edit HTML?
No. Customize allows you to edit fonts, colors, and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup or PHP code. If you require this functionality, please consider moving your blog to a web host that supports theme code modifications. You can read more about why here http://support.wordpress.com/code/, and find a suitable host here http://get.wp.com/hosting/.
