still having problems with stats on my blog followers

Today I have 300+ followers, yesterday I had 1,591 followers
There is a problem I have been noticing for many months. The counter sticks and then jumps. Now it has gone back to where is had been stuck before.
I wonder if you could take a look at this issue? thanks

When I visit your site, it looks like you have 300+ followers through WordPress. You can see this via your Site Stats page under the Totals, Followers, & Shares module.
Do you have your Facebook or Twitter accounts connected to WordPress.com? Did you make any changes regarding Publicize/Sharing recently?

and that stat was visible there yesterday! So what happened?No, I have made no changes to any connects so that is why I was shocked to see the number so low.
Yes, I have FB and Twitter accounts connected for years! I have made zero changes to those connections.

We had previously included your Facebook and Twitter followers into a total number of followers.
Now, it’s just your WordPress.com and email followers.

Thanks for the explanation. But I have ten thousand Twitter followers and over three thousand Facebook followers.
So the numbers do not add up.
Why the change? How do I get it back the way it was?

We made the change because the numbers didn’t add up to begin with. :)
They are correct now, but only include your WordPress.com and email followers.
