Still Locked Out of My Blog
-
I have been unable to log into my current WordPress blog, Seattle Book Mama, for several days now. The home page shows a post on October 1, but since then, when I log on and try to navigate the site, I find the pages of an old diet blog that I abandoned several years ago. October is a big month for publishing, and I need access to my book blog. This is my second attempt to receive help from customer service. Please advise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I can do that easily. However, once I am on the site, I can’t edit or add anything without my blog rerouting itself to the old account.

So, I log into seattlebookmamablog.org. There it is, my home page. It’s correct. And the other pages listed at the top of the page–Jazz Hands, Let’s Talk About Ratings, and two others–are correct, and if I click on one of them, it comes up accurately. The problems begin when I try to change content. If I click on “My Sites,” the choices are my old blog, and a Blogging101 group I joined in 2012. My book blog isn’t a choice. To see the selections, you would think it doesn’t even exist. The box in the upper right hand corner gives me the “Write” option, but again, if I click it, the page I am writing on is for my old blog with all of the old categories and tags. And nothing on the home page or any of the four other pages linked at the top of the home page provide me with an edit button, so I can’t change content. I have 13 October galleys to review, but I can’t get in.

Logging into an account typically leaves one at the Reader, not on the homepage. It’s sounds like the login attempts have been unsuccessful. I’d suggest you log out of the other account first, and clear the browser’s cache and cookies, before trying to log into the seattlebookmama (username) account. Or try to log into the seattlebookmama account on a different browser.
