Still need help

    I tried using chat and spent almost 90 minutes with Isaac. He was not able to solve my problem. He told me he would forward my situation up to advanced support. That was Wednesday, May 20. On Friday the 21st, I found, and subsequently CALLED two phone numbers I found which took me to GoDaddy Support. They were also unable to help. I have a paid upgrade and need assistance to fix the problem with my account. Please contact me ASAP!!! Judyaromano – (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    I have not received anything from anyone with the handle “Happiness”. I have chatted with Isaac and had one interaction with Adarshhalan. My email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Those were not live chats. That was support provided by our community experts.

    On 20 May Isaac rerouted your request to our support staff when he couldn’t resolve the issue, and and one of our support staff replied to you via email yesterday. Please reply there so we can continue helping you.

    If you don’t see a reply from us via email yesterday, check that it didn’t perhaps go into your spam folder.

    I have kept a very close eye on my spam and inbox. I have not been contacted by the support staff … until the two notes above from Supernova and Kokkieh. Perhaps the support staff email went to the wrong email address, since that is a small part of the problem I am having. Please confirm on your end that whoever is allegedly trying to help me is using the email address that Supernova and Kokkieh used.

    Once you update the details, you will receive an email address that would require you to click on the verification link to confirm the details.

    You may want to check if our email got filtered in your inbox in another way.

    It looks like since the original attempt to change contact info expired, we were finally able to accomplish what we set out to do. This glitch caused great concern. Given the extraordinarily poor customer service from WordPress, we are now seriously looking at transferring the account to another service. As we were unable to actually reach a person to help, despite paying for customer service, we are both very displeased with WordPress.

    The fact that I spent nearly a week concerned my business website would be shut down is unacceptable. The further fact that, I believe, the only reason we were finally able to make the changes we needed to make is due to the original attempt expiring, is also unacceptable and indicative that this issue was not solved by customer support, but rather the system’s expiration coding.

    I am concerned that once we did respond to you via email, you did not receive our reply. I believe that the information staff provided would’ve resolved the issue you were having. I don’t want any future correspondence with us to be lost. Were you able to find the staff’s email?

    No. I never found the staff emails. I still have nothing from anyone other than what is on this string … which I was able to access via the link I received in my email.

  • Is it possible that it wound up in your email’s spam folder, or that your email address at https://wordpress.com/me/account is incorrect?

    That email is correct. Not possible that it ended up in spam … all the other emails I found (the string above) were in spam, so I not only looked there, but that’s the only place I found anything. I appreciate that you are trying to get to the bottom of this, though.

  • We have had issues in the past with Hotmail nuking emails from us on sight, like they think it’s some sort of super-spam.

    Do you have another email address available that you could use?

    I can try a gmail address. It’s strange that the string here ALWAYS seems to come through, but direct messages from the staff do not. ?? I have changed my email to the gmail one, we can try that.

  • I’ve sent you a quick reply on the email ticket to check if it goes through to your new email address. Let me know if you don’t receive it either.

    Keep in mind that Gmail by default does some auto-filtering of emails, so our emails might land in the Social or Updates folders if you have those active, rather than the inbox. But you can tell Gmail if you want our emails in the inbox by dragging them from a folder to the inbox in their web interface, if that happens.

    Gmail Issues

    It’s strange that the string here ALWAYS seems to come through, but direct messages from the staff do not.

    Our ticket system runs separately from these forums and other WordPress.com notifications, so if there’s any blocking based on the IP address or signature of the email server rather than the domain/email address, that would explain this.
