  Hi, I have been trying to import my stuff from Xanga since yesterday. I was able to upload 3 out of 4 files on 1 blog and none on another one. It seems to be stuck. I keep getting this message that it is importing since yesterday. http://thevegancommunicator.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress

  I have manually cancelled the import process manually for both of your blogs. Please try it again.

  Also, please note that you may need to try exporting your content from Xanga.com again. I’ve seen reports where the export files were too small (just 1-2KB each) to have contained blog posts, so it may be that their export file creator isn’t always working properly. If that continues to be an issue, you may need to contact Xanga.com

  Assuming your export file is completed, be sure to import all of the .xml files individually.

  I see 320 posts on your WordPress.com site now. Are you missing content (other than image files, which are not part of your Xanga.com export, unfortunately)? Please explain where the import failed and I’ll be happy to take a look.

  Hi, I have copied from a word document the blog from August 13 since it never got carried over from xanga. However, this was not a final draft and I can’t access the final draft anymore which should have been uploaded from the xanga archive. I don’t miss anything else.

  Unfortunately if everything but one post transferred over, it sounds like this may be an issue on Xanga’s end. You can try contacting them for assistance and see if they can generate a new export file for you.
