still trying to get unwanted wordpress site to disappear

  I started a blog, decided i wanted to use squarespace instead, closed my wordpress blog/site (for which I had purchased a domain from a third party). I have closed the wordpress site but my new site remains invisible. Isntead, fi you type in that address, xx.com, what comes up is a dark screen saying ‘xxcom.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.’ While this is true– I did delete that site– why won’t the NEW site show up, and what am I going to have to do to get it visible? So far the advice this forum has given me has not worked.

  when you went to squarespace, did you transfer the domain name from WP to SS?

  csmoran9, I didn’t buy the domain at wordpress. It’s hosted by Dreamhost. So that process you suggested doesn’t apply. I am going back to Dreamhost again to see if that gives me any hints. Thx though.
