Still waiting for refund

  I requested a refund for £85 on February 23rd, 31 days ago. I am STILL waiting for the refund to be actioned. Can you tell me what the delay is? Thanks

  Hi there,

  I’ve confirmed that your refund was processed on our end on 17 February. You can see a receipt for that refund, with a transaction number from our payment processor, here:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

  If it’s not showing in your account yet it’s most likely a delay on your bank’s end. Usually it takes 10 business days, but some banks have longer processing times, and the process can also be delayed if the refund is to a non-US bank, as appears to be the case here.

  Can you please follow up directly with your bank on this?

  Could you please confirm which account the money was transferred to?

  And what I should ask my bank?

  The refund would have been issued to the same card that you used to make the initial payment. However, it looks like that payment was made directly via PayPal, so the refund might actually be in your PayPal account. PayPal refunds are usually instant.

  Can you please log into your PayPal account and check if it’s there? If not, contact their support and give them the transaction ID that appears in the refund receipt in your billing history.
