  I would like to add a scrolling ticker to my blog (since it is about investing), I understand JS code can be used for inappropriate behavior, but really? Not allow code at all? Seems wrong. I think some exceptions should be made.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m sorry but there are over 38 million blogging here and just one bad script posted by a single blogger to a single blog could bring down many blogs on this multiuser blogging platform, where our blogs share a common architecture. No exceptions are made.

  Doesn’t it also say that flash and java are both NOT allowed as well?

  Yes, it says that both are not allowed but there is no JavaScript workaround. If there had been one I would have posted it. There is a workaround that may serve the purpose provided you have a specific stock ticker Flash widget in mind. I posted the link for you above.
