Stolen Account Info

  I have always had a developer work on my site and thus have not had an account however my last developer left and will not give me the username and password. I don’t have any of the information on the Account Recovery form (transaction ID, activation ID, or auth codes). I can prove I am the owner of the company the website represents and that is all. Any ideas what I can do to get access to my site, get a new username and password?

  Hi there,

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, so we cannot help with this, as we have no control over your admin login for that site – that password is stored directly in your site database on your hosting provider’s servers, and our account recovery process won’t help you to gain access to that site, as that process is only for WordPress.com username accounts.
