Stolen Blog??

My blog name at their page is down as well. Huzzah !

What content was stolen? A page title – heck, even a directory structure – does not count as content. I hope none of you are hosted with BlueHost as they do not investigate DMCA complaints, but suspend the account of any reported site automatically with no recourse for rebuttal.

My blog was several months old, hadn’t been updated in that time at all. The 404 redirect (which is what it was that sent you to the SEO software site) had nothing to do with content and so was not a DMCA violation.

I doubt I’ll be back to rebut any flames, so feel free to bad mouth me all you want. Just remember what I said about Bluehost. Anyone hosted there is at risk.

Try stealing less and you’ll find people flaming you less.

By definition, everyone in this thread is hosted at WordPress.com. Oh, and blogs whose whole purpose is to direct people to sites off WP.com are in violation of the Terms of Service. Thanks for bumping this thread with your URL linked to your name; your blog has been reported to staff for that violation.

  • tarview, the DMCA law provides a specific procedure for filing a counter-notice if you believe a complaint was invalid.

BlueHost is a reputable hosting company, they follow the law when handling DMCA complaints.
