Stolen content

BNBANZ.com was a website I looked after, it now no longer exists as was closed down, but someone has stolen the content/logos etc and created bnbanz.wordpress.com using that content. How do we go about getting that removed?
Site: https://bnbanz.wordpress.com.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: Unknown -

Hi there, further to the above, the site you indicate was set up six years ago in 2015 and the last post was made by user bnbanz in August of that year. Perhaps it was a temporary or test site that was set up and then abandoned or forgotten about in favor of a domain/site hosted elsewhere. If bnbanz registered the site here, they will have to log in and delete the site by following this guide https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/ If they don’t remember their log-in details, they can attempt to recover their account by following this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
If that is a fraudulent site which is violating the WordPress.com Terms of Service, you can, as mentioned above, report it while logged in by first visiting the site and clicking on the Action bar in the lower right corner of your browser. More on reporting sites here https://wordpress.com/support/report-blogs/
Hope that helps too.

Ok thanks for that, it appears I may have been a bit hasty in saying it was stolen…. however as that domain has been closed, we have no access to email from that account, therefore unable to recover lost passwords or old account information. And proving it without that information seems impossible from the criteria on the wordpress account-recovery site. Where can I go from here?

Hello again, unless the user bnbanz can log in to delete it, there’s not much that can be done.
Do you know the email address that was used to register the site, even if it is defunct now, or whether the custom domain was connected to the WordPress.com website at any point, perhaps with an upgrade or plan that you have access to an invoice?
Let me also flag this for Staff to see what they can advise you. Thanks for your patience.
