Stolen Domain Name

A while back I paid for a domain name to be renewed for a blog a friend and I ran. Since that time, I’ve been removed as a admin, and in fact totally removed from the account the domain name is tied to. Now, under purchased it says i own the domain name. Is there anyway to get the domain name back? To remap it where I want it to go? To have access to the domain name I purchased?

Are you speaking of the domain, amthirdpartyreport.com ?
Upgrades are owned by individual users on WordPress.com, and that domain is owned by your account so you can do whatever you want with it. If you no longer have access to the site that domain is currently connected to, I can move the domain to a different site you own. Just let me know the URL of a site in your account with which you want to use that domain and I can move it for you.
Once the domain is attached to another site in your account you’ll also be able to transfer it somewhere else if you prefer. Moving the domain will immediately cause it to stop showing the site to which it is currently connected.

Yes sir! That’s the one. I no longer have access to the site that the domain is currently connected to. If you could move it over to pithyproletarian.wordpress.com that would be great, because I’d still like to just use the amthirdpartyreport.com url. I don’t want to have to redo the whole thing or get a new URL if I can get the amthirdparty.com one back. Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate it!

I have moved the domain to that site for you, so you should now be able to make changes to is via My Site ->Domains.

Remap, as in point it to a different host than WordPress.com?

If you mean it’s still showing the old site where you’re no longer a member, please try clearing your browser cache. Your browser might still be redirecting you to the domain’s previous location and clearing the cache should force that to update.
