stolen website content
-
Hi, my website – hangrybackpacker.com – received a few pingback comment notifcations from a website called https://a1-touristguide.com/
These pingbacks led me to articles stolen from my website and copied exactly onto this https://a1-touristguide.com/ website. All text, links and images were stolen and used without my permission. Here is of my posts stolen:
https://a1-touristguide.com/10-easy-day-trips-from-madrid/My original post is here: https://hangrybackpacker.com/day-trips-from-madrid/
This website does not have a contact form or any social media to ask for them to remove it. It is, however, powered by WordPress, and it is full of other stolen content.
Is there anything WordPress can do here to protect myself and other publishers?

Hello there,
I’m sorry to hear that your article was used without permission. Unfortunately the website you isn’t hosted here and it is not running WordPress.com platform. It is instead being hosted somewhere else and is running the free open-source WordPress.org platform ( https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
). Therefore there isn’t anything we can do to take it down. You can however try the steps in this article and hopefully the site is taken down:

Thanks for the response. Haven’t had much luck with a Google removal before, but I’ll try again!
