Stop domain mapping

Actual (non-mapped) wordpress URL does not function
Email from WordPress today says ‘your visitors can still find your website at http://datasciencedissidence.wordpress.com/ ‘ That is not true. WordPress is still trying to map requests to that URL to a non-existent domain despite my deliberate non-renewal of the now expired mapping. Fix that please.

Hi there,
If your current domain is no longer working and you’d like to disconnect it from your WordPress.com site, you can easily do so. Simply go to your Purchases page and cancel the Domain Connection upgrade. Here’s a direct link to help you with that process: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/computationalsocialscientist.com/12311824
In case you prefer not to revert to using your free WordPress address (datasciencedissidence.wordpress.com), you have the option to register a new domain. I have a couple of great suggestions for you: computational-social-scientist.com and computationalsocialscientist.blog. These domains can be registered for free when you upgrade to one of our plans.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or need assistance with any of these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
