Stop email to Subscribers when moving from Private to Public

  Hi,

  Some time ago I moved ~400 posts from Published to Private. Now I need to change their status back to Published (note – these are not New Posts, or re-edited posts. These are old, published posts that I temporarily moved to Private).
  Problem is, I just tested moving one post from Private to Published and a notification email was sent to all my Site Subscribers.
  How can I change all my posts back to Published without my Subscribers receiving ~400 notification emails?

  Your site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com.

  Email subscriptions on your site is handled by the Jetpack plugin. You can see Jetpack’s documentation on how to disable those here:

  Thank You Kokkleh – I used the code under section “jetpack_subscriptions_exclude_these_categories:” and my posts could be converted from Private to Published with no emails being sent.

  I hadn’t considered using a category to exclude those posts. Great idea :)
