stop featured image from showing up again in post

I’ve changed the theme of my blog, so I’m still figuring out how the new theme works, but I have a problem. Before I had a setting that the featured image doesn’t show up again on my post (as in, the first image in the post becomes the featured image), but now it’s not. It’s really bugging me how the photo shows up twice. Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
Your current theme is one that allows you to use the site editor to edit templates directly.
In this case you can edit the “Single Template” that displays single blog posts at this link.
Once you are there look for the Featured Image block and delete it. This will remove the featured image from all single posts since they all use this template to build their layout.
