Stop import of tumblr blog

  Hi! I’d like to import my content from a different blog, but it still says that the import is ‘in progress’ despite it being stuck halfway through importing the posts for two weeks. I deleted the posts from my wordpress already. (zlall.wordpress.com)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Please don’t create new threads when you already have an open one. We’ve been helping you in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/backing-up-tumblr-blog-2/ I’m closing that thread now as a duplicate.

  It appears the Tumblr import on your site has failed, so I’ve reset the importer so you can try again. Please let us know if it hasn’t completed after 24 hours.

  If some posts have already imported they will be skipped by the importer during your next attempt, so they should not be duplicated.

  Oh sorry I didn’t know I shouldn’t make a new one I thought it would be categorized as a different issue for some reason. That’s my mistake I apologize.

  As it’s still the Tumblr import on the same WordPress.com site, it’s the same issue as far as we’re concerned :)

  It looks like the importer got stuck, so I’ve reset it for you. You can try running it again, but if it’s only one post it might be faster to just copy that over manually.

  It hasn’t reset yet! I’m importing from fllares.tumblr.com now (not sure if that makes a difference).

  Hi, sorry to bother again, but it appears like the importer isn’t importing all my media? just the text from my tumblr posts are appearing, and only a few gifs/pictures have shown up in my media library.

  Also, it has stopped with one post left to import again, but it’s only been a few hours.

  Hmm. I have no idea why it isn’t importing your media, as you’re only using about 2% of your available media storage at this point.

  We could try to completely empty your site so it’s completely blank again, and then do a new import and see if it works this time. I suspect the original import failing is causing our system to think the files are already moved when in fact they aren’t.

  Emptying a site cannot be reversed, though, so please confirm if I should go ahead with that.

  Okay. I’ve started the process to empty your site. It should be done in about an hour, at which point you can start a new import.
