stop liking
-
Hi,
Is it possible to stop liking from others. I mean that I don’t want no more « Likes » on my posts neither on the reader.
Is it possible?
Last time I did remove « likes » from my post, it was still possible to like my post from the reader.
The blog I need help with is lemehograph.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No it’s not possible to disable the “likes” in the Reader. Why that is I don’t know, as we have yet to be provided with a cogent answer to the question, including the rationale behind this dishonoring of the blogger’s choice re: completing disabling likes. I have tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they reply.

You’re welcome and do note that I have also subscribed to this thread as I want to know what the answer is and what the rationale it’s based on is.

Hi Meho,
It’s possible for readers to like your posts from the WordPress.com Reader, but please note that these likes will not appear on your blog since you removed it from your posts. There has been some discussion on the matter, but currently it is one of policies that likes cannot be disabled in the Reader.
For now, you can go to Settings->Discussion and uncheck the option for “Email me whenever Someone likes one of my posts”:
https://mehosshots.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.php
Then you won’t get emails or see the likes on your blog.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Thank you Grace!
I know all these things but it actually bugging me to rely on these likes since readers are not necessarily loyal reader. I wish I could rely on « likes » but I just can’t true information.
And even if I hide the likes from my posts, I always see the alert on the top right corner.
Well Thank you Grace!
