Stop notifications
-
I was mis-sold WordPress as a means to sell event tickets via PayPal buttons but ended up having to spend more money on a Shopify site. It never worked for me and I have been waiting for it to expire so that it is not an issue anymore.
How do I stop getting constant urgent reminders to keep it going? It was a waste of £85 in the first place and is now a waste of my time.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello!
If you wish to remove a plan from your account, please go to this link: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases
And if you wish to unsubscribe from the notifications from WordPress, go to the link https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/updates and Unsubscribe.
Hope this answers your question!

I went to the link but there was no option for Unsubscribe. I unticked all the boxes for the type of notifications I want to receive so I hope that this will work.

Hi, you should have a remove option here:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/events.sonasmultimedia.co.uk/6818358This will revert your site back to its free version and free address. If you no longer want to display the free site, head to https://wordpress.com/settings to adjust its privacy there.
Cheers!

I have been going round in circles trying to cancel the account and it doesn’t seem to disappear. Information about renewal comes up but no instruction on how to cancel and take the site down permanently.

Hi sonasadmin,
Information about renewal comes up but no instruction on how to cancel and take the site down permanently.
Your site can be deleted by following these steps:
The process is permanent and you won’t be able to use the WordPress.com address again, so only delete the site you won’t need that address in the future.
Once the site has been deleted, your account can be deactivated:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
Come back to me if you have any questions.
