Stop running this script?

  When I attempt to select a parent (page attributes) I am met with the following error;
  Windows Internet Explorer
  Stop running this script?
  A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Yes or No
  This is driving me nuts, how do I make it stop?

  We need the URL for the blog you are referring to. Please post it now starting with http://

  Provided you are referring to a free blog from and being free hosted by WordPress.COM, then we need to know which version of IE you are using. IE6 is no longer supported by Microsoft and IE7 has issues.Microsoft recommends upgrading to IE8. IE9 is in BETA and has issues.

  We need to know whther or not you have tried logging out, force clearing your browser cache and cookies and logging in again. Browser specific instructions are here. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

  IE 7

  Yes I have logged out, deleted cookies, history and temporary internete files.

  I am in the process of updating to IE8, I will let you know what happens.

  DRAT! There is an existing thread from awhile back on the same thing. In the end Staff had to be contacted and they “fixed” the problem. Here’s the link that you can use to contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  I recommend trying a different browser like Firefox, or Google Chrome, and see if you still recieve the script error message.

  OMG! I just lost 257 days worth of entries on a page on my blog because of this ‘do you want to stop running this script’ error. I am devastated.
