Stop (W) from becoming the WP logo
-
Every time I type in “(W)” into the post editor, it shows up as the WordPress logo in the final post.
There’s no way to prevent this;
Putting text around it like so “(W).” retains the (W), but when I coloured the period white to make it seem like there’s a space after (W), the WP logo returned.
How do I prevent this from happening?
Is there a settings page for logo shortcuts where I can disable them?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s incredibly strange, I’m not seeing that myself.
Here’s the test content in the editor: https://cld.wthms.co/KZ5UBn
And the result: https://cld.wthms.co/aGlIoz
There’s no WordPress logo there.
Would you please upload a screenshot of what you’re referring to into your site’s Media library, so we can take a look?

Hi @irfansyahril,
To prevent this from occuring, emoticons can be disabled in WP-Admin > Settings > Writing > Formatting:
https://50-weeks.com//wp-admin/options-writing.php
staff-blorbo – the W has to be wrapped in parentheses for the WP logo emoji to appear,
(W). -
