Stopping all comments and replies

  Hi

  My site is not a blog, therefore I don’t need or want the comment/reply boxes at the foot of each page.

  I’ve tried following the instruction that tells me to go to Settings/Discussion and remove the comment facility but it hasn’t worked (see my example of how comments can still be left at uk1watches.wordpress.com/about).

  Can someone please advise me where I am going wrong and what steps I need to take to remove all comments barring the Contact Us form on at uk1watches.wordpress.com/contact page.

  That’s stops it from appearing on future posts/pages, but you have to edit each existing post/page to to remove what’s already there.

  P.S.: It appears I had to make a New Page in order for the changes to take effect. Bad News is I have to re-write all the previous pages now but at least the problem is solved.

  a) You don’t rewrite the pages, you just go to Pages > All Pages and bulk edit them to disable commenting.
  b) Do you make the watches you want to post about? If not, your blog is against the TOS.
