Stopping Auto Renewal

    Hi. I would like to cancel any auto renewals associated with my account.

    I went to the Manage Purchases area in my account, but there is nothing I can see to cancel. It just says that I don’t have any wordpress.com sites yet, however I was automatically charged$17 yesterday. What do I need to do to ensure no automatic payments are taken from my bank account in future.

    I would be happy to assist you in cancelling and refunding your purchase. However, the upgrade that was purchased is not associated with the account you contacted us from. To confirm ownership, post in this thread under the username/account that purchased the upgrade. Then, I can look into canceling auto renew for you.

    I also wanted to cancel auto renewal, but was disappointed that I couldnt find the link provided at all. It says it is in the Managed Purchases link, but I searched the entire website, still couldnt find it. Could your team make the link more prominent and clear? thanks

    Hey there @marcustamfitness,

    You can turn off automatic renewal for your domain name or plan by choosing the option to cancel on the Purchase page. If your domain name or plan is outside of our refund window then it will stay active until its expiration date and you will not be automatically charged for its renewal.

    I can see how many users may think by canceling their subscription, it is canceling it right then and there and not just the auto renewal. It is being discussed how we can better articulate disabling auto renew.
