Stopping employers who view one of my blogs from finding others

I have a few blogs, but I only list one or two on my LinkedIn profile because the others have content that some employers would find inappropriate. How can I prevent them from finding other blogs I’ve authored? Is there a way to hide my user name on my blogs or hide the authors on some of my blogs?

Is the only way to do it by making a new account and putting my questionable blogs on that one? The problem is, depending on the jobs I apply to, some of the questionable ones become pertinent and includable, but not all of them. This seems like it will turn into a 3 account problem, which would be tough to manage, to say the least.

Any advice on how to solve this issue, or, in the worst case, how to easily manage contributing to multiple blogs via several separate accounts?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are themes that do not display an author name.

You can change your display name. (Your username will still appear here in the forums.)

    You can change your username.

You can create additional username accounts while logged out of WordPress.com but must use a different email address for each one as it become your unique identifier. Then you can make any new username account an Admin of one or more blogs and transfer them using this method.

You can edit your Profile information and about page information to remove anything that identifies you. And you can get rid of any social networking connections you have to accounts for your blogs by getting a different username for them.

You need a completely separate user name AND account name – for the blogs you don’t want “found” etc. on my site my author name is “captnmike” which if you mouse over it shows “auxclass” which is the account I use. While clicking on my name in my site only lists articles I have written on the site – seems to me that some searching could find related blogs – and if the displayed name on a site is searched you can find other blogs where the same displayed name is used – so you need to make a firewall and go back and change the old Post authors to be safe.

    Thanks for all the information!

I was afraid of this. I guess I’ll have to make another account and transfer ownership. I may look for themes that don’t display any author name first, though.

If anyone else does know of a way to fully dissociate a wordpress.com blog from its author, please post it.

    Thanks again!

Alright, if you’re that certain, I’ll switch the ticket to “resolved.” Thanks again.
