Stopping Video in the Comments

  Personally, I don’t like when people add videos to my post’s comments. It is a common way to hijack a thread. I know it is a weird personal preference. But is there any way I can turn off people’s ability to add videos to the comment section while still being able to add them to my posts?

  As far as I know, the only thing you can do is add this to the Comment Blacklist field in Settings>Discussion:
  http://www.youtube.com/
  But this will send the whole comment to the spam folder, not just disable the video.

  Or of course you can edit the comments and remove the videos or turn them into links.

  I don’t find your preference weird at all, and I suggest you submit your request in the Ideas section of the forum.
