Storage space does not free up even after deleting media
-
Hi, I deleted over 100 pictures from my media library yesterday when I realized I hit my maximum storage, yet that did not seem to free up any space at all as I am still no longer able to upload photos and I am wondering why that is? How much do I need to delete in order to actually have space free up again?
Thanks!

Hi there!
It appears your storage is still over the allowed quota of 3 GB. As of now, you are using 3.3 GB of storage. I checked a few images and noticed they are about 1 MB each. So even if you deleted 100 images that are 1 MB on average, you’d still be over the 3 GB limit.
I noticed you had the WordPress.com Personal plan on your site, which allowed 6 GB of storage space. Would you like to upgrade again? You can do so using the link below.
If you don’t want to upgrade, you will need to remove about over 300 MB of images so that there’s space to upload new media. Please note that when you remove images from the media library, they are also removed from the pages/posts in which you inserted them.
Feel free to let us know if there’s anything else you need and we’ll be happy to help.

Hi,
Thanks so much! So as an estimate, since I would need to remove about 300 MB of images with each image around 1 MB, I would need to remove about 300 images?

Approximately, yes. It depends on the size of each image, so you may need to delete either more or less than that number.
