storage/other possibilities on premium site?

Please bear with these questions from a newbie. I’m building a free site using a free template – just getting the hang of this. Ultimately my colleagues and I are planning to create a resource site that houses searchable & downloadable documents, as well as links to other resources & websites. In the primary menu we would have two options (in addition to home page link), and then from each of those first two sub-pages we would have 7-10 additional pages where our resources/links would be housed. So first question: is a site like this possible to create on WordPress at the premium level? And is additional storage possible to purchase at that level or is an upgrade to business level then required? Thank you for any help/guidance.

Thanks for getting in touch about your questions.

You can do this on WordPress.com and you do not necessarily need to upgrade your plan.

Your free account comes with 3GB of media storage. This storage is only used up for images, documents, videos that are added to the site. Text does not contribute to this allotment.

If you need to increase your storage above the 3GB you would need to upgrade to WordPress.com Premium or Business. This can be done at anytime.

Here is a side by side comparison of the different plans and their features:

Creating a custom menu will allow you to setup the site in the way you’ve described.

These are the instructions to add documents to your site.

I’m happy to answer any follow up questions :)
