  What is the difference between adding a story block into my site VS. adding the Google web stories plugin?

  Does the story block get picked up by Google web stories?

  The difference here would be that you need a paid Pro plan to use plugins: https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/

  Whereas the Store Block can be used under any plan, even the Free plan: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/story-block/

  That’s not what I asked.. I’m aware plugins are in paid pro plan and story block is in free plan.

  I asked, can stories made in story block be picked up by Google’s for web stories??

  Or does the Google web stories plugin only do that exclusively?

  Ah, at this time, only items created with Google’s Web Stories plugin are picked up by Google for its Web Stories feature.
