Stow theme remove site logo header
-
Hi all,
I’m using the elegant Stow theme on the above site and would like to simply remove the site title section so that my principal menu is stuck to the top of the page. I’ve tried adjusting the CSS and used the web developer toolbar to try and pin down exactly what page of the page I should address with additional CSS but to no avail. Is there anyone that can offer me a leg up, or is this something that can’t happen?Thanks in advance,
B

Hi I was able to get the menu to stick to the top of the page in Chrome Developer Tools using the following code. Give it a try and hopefully it should work!
.site-branding{
display:none;
}.main-navigation{
margin-top: 0;
} -
Wow, yep that did it. Thanks! I don’t suppose it could be sticky, too? I saw that I needed to edit the HTML on another site to give me a css entity for that but I don’t think I have access to the page’s HTML.
All the best,
B

I actually just did a very similar thing to my site so I more or less have that css ready. This should work:
.site-header{
position: fixed;
z-index: 2;
width: 100%;
}.content-area{
padding-top: 50.4px;
} -
You are a psychic star! :D
Thank you so much, mine works the same too now, thanks to you…

Hi there!
Thanks for helping out, staff-mikewp!
@beevee23, remember that with your plan, you can also access Live Chat directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact. -
Neat, thanks fresatomica. Actually, I have another question although I think I know how I’m going to workaround given my tier. I’d really like a random slideshow on my title page but I think I need to be in the business tier to add plugins. I did see that I can add a gif, so was thinking of converting the images I wanted to show into an animgif. It won’t be random but at least it will cycle.

Hello there,
Glad to hear that this has been useful.
For the slideshow, you could try using the the slideshow block: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/slideshow-block/
Anything outside of that functionality would require a plugin and the business plan to go with it.
I hope this helps.
