Straight to the Top

With the help of ‘Timewaster’ I switched to the ‘Retro’ theme. When I post the blog immediately goes to Facebook. However the latest post on WordPress goes to the sidebar. Who, when searching for my blogsite, is going to look at the sidebar? I certainly would not!
Instead the same tired old blog “The Thorn in the Flesh’ always opens. How do I move ‘Thorn in the flesh’ to archives and make the newest post the opening page?

Generally speaking, insulting someone that tried to help you is not a good way to inspire others to help you

Dear auxclass,
Please forgive me if I insulted anyone in anyway. That is NOT MY nature. I see now that I used ‘Timewaster’ instead of ‘timethief’.
To whom was that an insult if I forgot who helped me previously? I have no idea in what way I could have insulted anyone. Would you please reply to my email address and explain how I committed this act?
Thank you,

Dear timethief,
Since you don’t help here–it may not be appropriate for me to ask this. However I fail to see how the following answer will help me solve my problem, which is “How do I move ‘Thorns in the flesh’ to the archives? “
Your reply follows:

I suppose I am too dense to understand what I am supposed to do.
On the other hand let me add, “I would never insult anyone there or here. that is not me. Besides all that; I need your help.

which is “How do I move ‘Thorns in the flesh’ to the archives? “
@larryboy3115: that post is sticky

We bloggers cannot move posts into the Archives and do not need to. When we public a post here the software automatically posts it on the Archives pages, and and on Category and Tags pages in accord with the categories/tags that we assign to the post.
In order for your titles of your published post to appear in the sidebar you install a widget at > Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets like these ones:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/display-wordpress-posts/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-posts-widget/Instead the same tired old blog “The Thorn in the Flesh’ always opens. How do I move ‘Thorn in the flesh’ to archives and make the newest post the opening page?
Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent published post will display on top of the main page for posts in your blog. By default that is the front page of the blog.
If any post is displaying out of order that could be because the post is marked as a sticky post. The post needs to be edited and that destination removed. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
To create a new post go to Dashboard > Posts > Add New
http://larryboy3115.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php -
You’ve pinned two posts to the top of your front page:
https://larryboy3115.wordpress.com/2014/11/30/straight-from-the-top-8/
https://larryboy3115.wordpress.com/2013/03/07/straight-from-the-top-2/See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
Go to your site’s Dashboard>Posts>All Posts and click on the link at the top that says “Sticky”. Only the posts that have been marked as Sticky will then show. You can then hover your mouse over each post title and click the Quick Edit link on each post to uncheck the box next to “Make this post sticky”. Make sure to click Update when you are done.
This will make your sticky posts drop down to their chronological order and your latest post should appear at the top of your site’s front page.

Yep! Busy baking cheesecake and that’s what I get for writing first, then going to the kitchen and not refreshing before hitting the submit button. :)
